Come Experience the Newest Exhibit “The LAIR” at the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens
The Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens is home to more than 1,100 mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles representing more than 250 different species, of which 29 are endangered. The Zoo’s botanical collection includes over 800 different plant species with over 7,400 individual plants. This year, one of the new exhibits visitors can enjoy is “The LAIR” (Living, Amphibians, Invertebrates and Reptiles), that encompasses a variety of visually stunning areas, with over 60 species represented, and is one of the few reptile and amphibian-focused facilities in North America.

The LAIR at Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens comprises some of the rarest species among North American zoos, living in habitats that are beautifully themed to exemplify the natural environments of the many species. Other areas of interest at the LA Zoo are Elephants of Asia, Campo Gorilla Reserve, Sea Life Cliffs, Australia, Chimpanzees of Mahale Mountains, Red Ape Rain Forest, Dragons of Komodo and the Winnick Family Children’s Zoo.
