Get Your Swing on at the US Open Swing Dance Championship

It tempts the best of the best in swing dancing to compete for top honors, but the US Open Swing Dance Championship is so much more. Learn some new moves in workshops, dance your shoes off at social dances, or just watch the excitement of the competition from the stands.

The Swing Dancing Soiree at Burbank Convention Center

The swing dance-off is set for November 22 – 26. It’s the 35th anniversary of this fun, fast-paced, lively competition and social event. It will all take place at Burbank Convention Center.

If you’re interested in competing, there are plenty of divisions, including Classic, Showcase, Young Adult, Teams, Strictly Swing, Strictly Shag, and Jack & Jill Swing.

Registration is open until November 11.

Workshops and Learning Opportunities at The Open

Sign up for a workshop and learn tips from the pros. Instructors will include Kyle Redd and Sarah Vann Drake, Benji Schwimmer, Myles Munroe and Tessa Cunningham Munroe, and John Lindo.

Social Dancing

There will also be lots of opportunities to kick back and have fun on the dance floor at the event. Attend an open dancing session on the 22nd, head to the kick-off dance party, or stay for late-night dancing each day.
