At Dragonfest, Explore Martial Arts Culture/History

A two-day expo for all things martial arts and Asian culture, Dragonfest is coming back bigger and better than ever.

Tickets get you access to martial arts and kung-fu stars; anime, manga, and cosplay; vendors selling merchandise; and lots of other fun from the martial arts film industry.

The festival will be held August 5-6 at the Burbank Convention Center. This year the festival will be twice as large, so there will be more booths, more entertainment, and more fun.

DragonfestAt the Expo on August 5, explore and enjoy all things martial arts. Check out equipment; buy anime, artwork, and toys; and see cool cultural performances like Taiko drumming and Filipino stick dancing.

Plus, you’ll get the scoop on new films coming out and get the chance to meet the producers, stars, and stuntmen. You can also expect music and meet-and-greets.

On August 6, head to the Red-Carpet Event at the Martial Arts History Museum. Talk to your favorite martial arts stars at a Celebrity Q&A, get their autographs, and grab a photo-op for a perfect souvenir.

Order your tickets in advance online to get priority entrance into the fest. If you buy tickets at the door, note that only cash will be accepted.

The Downtown Burbank Car Classic Brings the Hot Rods

To see a parade of classic cars and other marvels of the automobile world, then head straight to the Downtown Burbank Car Classic. This family-friendly event will appeal to car aficionados and novices alike with all kinds of opportunities for summer fun.

Car Shows Are Perfect Summer Entertainment

This event will gear up on Saturday, August 5, rain or shine. It will all happen on San Fernando Boulevard and adjacent streets. This exciting event is produced by the Downtown Burbank Partnership. 

Downtown Burbank Car ClassicClassic cars aren’t the only cool rides you’ll see at the show. You can also look forward to getting a look at famous cars from film, TV, and celebrity owners; custom cars decked out to the nines; exotic cars; and motorcycles.

The cars on display will be up for all kinds of awards. These will be presented on the Main Stage at 7 p.m. Just a few include Best in Show, Best Classic Vehicle, Best Celebrity Vehicle, Best Custom Vehicle, and Best Modified Vehicle.

It’s a Car Showcase – and a Lot More

Cars are just one aspect of the show. If they’re not quite your thing, there will also be lots of other fun to enjoy. This includes family entertainment, vendor booths, and music from live DJs, plus the chance to win prizes.
