Change Boring Nights into Roaring Nights at the L.A. Zoo!

Visit the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens this summer for a series of events that blend charitable conservation and carefree charm!

Roaring Nights at the L.A. Zoo series is underway! Originally part of the year-long 50th anniversary of the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the four-night summer event was brought back for another season. Like many of the Zoo’s nighttime events, Roaring Nights is strictly for the 21-and-up crowd, blending terrific tunes and treats with thoughtful thanks for supporting their global conservation efforts.

Roaring Nights at the L.A. ZooThe general specifics for all four Roaring Nights are similar. Held on a Friday night in each of the four summer months (6:00PM to 10:30PM), the $21 ticket fee includes entrance to the zoo and parking. Outside refreshments are prohibited, as the best LA food trucks are on hand each night!

Friday, July 20 – DJ Johnny Hawkes provides guests with an immersive Silent Disco experience while local group Saved by the 90s takes us back to when cell phones were rare and boy bands ruled! Just imagine rocking out to your guilty pleasure while sampling some of the cheese-tastic goodness at The Grilled Cheese Truck!

Friday, August 17 – Both DJ Johnny Hawkes and the customary Silent Disco return but the live tunes have a country-fried twang as Highway Starr lights up the stage. Definitely a perfect time to sample some fare from the Wings n Waffles food truck!

Friday, September 14 –DJ Richard Blade takes over the turntables bringing an 80’s flair to the Zoo that’s only heightened when Flashback Heart Attack hits the stage! Grab an Epic Taco and get down in the final Silent Disco of the year.

Don’t want return to your “cage” after the Zoo closes its gates? Less than 10 miles away, the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel is the perfect place to come down from your walk on the wild side in comfort and style!

5 Reasons to Visit Dodger Stadium (Even If You Hate Sports)

The Boys of Summer are not the only reason to come out to Dodger Stadium this summer.

You don’t need to bleed blue to “watch” one of the many baseball games in LA this summer. The big league sluggers and hurlers will be on the diamond at Dodger Stadium, yet that’s only Reason #1 of why you should consider taking a trip to Chavez Ravine.

Dodger StadiumThere’s so much more to the culinary offerings at Dodger Stadium than the clichéd peanuts and cracker-jacks. We’d admit: having one of their illustrious “Dodger Dogs” is almost a rite of passage. But Reason #2 on our list is dedicated to the inventive fare that highlights the concession stands. One beloved stadium exclusive: the Cheet-O-Lote – a concoction of roasted sweet-corn, Cheetos, cheese, and chipotle lime!

If you’re watching your waistline, the promotional events throughout the season, and our Reason #3, are just as enjoyable. The July 4th Fireworks are always a homerun, but every Friday night at Dodger Stadium, fireworks light up the sky! Fans can even take a seat on the field and watch the show overhead.

Dodger Stadium is an iconic venue in its own right and the Dodger Stadium Tours are a behind-the-scenes experience that delights all ages, allowing childhood fantasies to come true. Sitting in the actual dugout is a highlight worthy of being our Reason #4 in itself!

But our final spot, and Reason #5, to take in one of the baseball games in LA this summer, is to enjoy being part of the crowd. The music, the chants… it’s easy to get caught up in the magic. And when you book a room with us at Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel, it doesn’t have to end with the final out. Less than 20 miles away, walk off in victory by allowing our comfortable accommodations to end your experience in major-league style!

Have a Blast at the 92nd Annual AmericaFest!

The festive use of fireworks has origins that date back long before our nation’s founding in 1776. Yet on the first commemorative Independence Day in 1777, John Adams declared that the celebration of our freedom should be commemorated with “Pomp and Parade”.  We can safely say that this tradition is still going strong across our nation’s various July 4th celebrations. But for Californians, it doesn’t get any bigger or brighter than the 92nd Annual AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl Stadium!

AmericaFest proves that all July 4th celebrations are not created equal!

92nd Annual AmericaFestLast year, AmericaFest, the longest running Independence Day event in our nation, was attended by more than 75,000 people and packed with 2.5 tons of pyrotechnic power! Now for the 92nd consecutive year, the annual July 4th celebration at the Rose Bowl Stadium is guaranteed to be the areas can’t miss Independence Day event. Celebrate our nation’s birthday in style as AmericaFest promises to be a day of fun family events, amazing live entertainment, and of course, a big helping of firework “bombs bursting in air”. Be sure to get to the Rose Bowl Stadium early, as there are many summer activities to partake in leading up to the spectacular sundown showcase at 7:00 PM.

Street Food CinemaOne of the most popular for film buffs and foodies alike is Griffith Park.
