2019 is the Year of Pig and Universal Studios Hollywood will celebrate its arrival from Saturday, February 2 through Sunday, February 17.
A trip to Universal Studios Hollywood is always an enjoyable experience for the whole family. Who wouldn’t want to get lost in the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter or take a ride through the streets with Fast & Furious – Supercharged? And while these attractions will still draw thousands through the gates this February, there’s an extra special reason you should consider making the trip to the Burbank area during the second month of the year – their Lunar New Year 2019 celebration (from February 2 – 17)! What can you expect from this two-week festival?
Cultural Performance and Decorations – Even though much of the actual park will remain unchanged, Universal Plaza will be transformed with traditional red Chinese lanterns and a beautiful plum blossom Wish Tree. It may not rival the majesty of Hogwarts in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter area, but you’ll get lost in the pageantry of the celebrations of the Year of the Pig!
Kung Fu Panda’s Dragon Warrior Training – In this interactive stage show, kids will learn a few basic moves from their favorite Kung Fu Panda from the film series – Master Po!
Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop – Serving up culturally-themed foods, Master Po’s adoptive goose of a father will be on hand to meet-and-greet his patrons. Foods include “secret ingredient stir-fry noodles” and “Po’s dumplings”.
Character Interactions – Ever wanted to meet a Mandarin-speaking Transformer or hobnob with Sanrio’s iconic cat character? Both Megatron and Hello Kitty will be on hand to greet guests during the festivities.
