Don’t Miss This Spring’s Downtown Burbank ARTS Festival!

The two-day festival is set to take over Downtown Burbank this May!

This is not your average street fair, but would you expect anything less from the “Media Capital of the World”? Now in its 16th year, the Downtown Burbank ARTS Festival is set to bring more than 200 renowned artists from around the country to meet, greet, and amaze the over 25,000 patrons who biannually attend. Just as years past, this interactive festival will take place on the blocks of San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia & Olive from 11AM through 7PM on both Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19!

Downtown Burbank ARTS FestivalUnlike other arts festivals of this caliber, the event is free and open to the public. Another unique facet is the blending of digital and special effects animators with the more traditional artisans that patrons are used to finding at similar fairs. The normal art-for-sale booths will be interspersed with a variety of participatory attractions such as signings, drawing sessions, and workshops. Peruse and purchase works in painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, and other fine arts while also taking part in some of the more interactive events, such as the Teen Art Challenge or the ever-popular Doodle Run.

One of the most anticipated facets of this spring’s event will be the street painting display. Many of the top artists in this field will descend upon Downtown Burbank, working all weekend long to create colorful chalk masterpieces for a final viewing in the final hours of the festival on Sunday night.
