Thrills Abound at Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights!

No one’s too old to enjoy Halloween-inspired festivities, especially when it’s being put on by Universal Studios Hollywood!

Not only does Universal Studios Hollywood start celebrating the second most popular holiday in our country a month early, they continue to add more tricks and treats each and every year based on the newest films and pop culture phenomena. Opening with a Fan Preview Night on September 12, Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights is one of the area’s most popular destinations for some terror-ific family-fun!

Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror NightsWell… maybe not the whole family!

Parental discretion is advised but the park recommends that children under the age of 13 may find Halloween Horror Nights too intense. The reason for the caution – the event transforms Universal Studios Hollywood into the city’s most terrifying Halloween experience, including walk-through maze attractions, intense scare zones, terrifying live shows, and of course, the extreme rides and attractions you have come to love at the park throughout the years! This year, they have added even more mazes bringing the total up to 10. Each one takes on a different theme including Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, Ghostbusters, AMC’s The Walking Dead Attraction, Stranger Things, and many more that have yet to be announced. There are 5 new scare zones and an all-new live show featuring the famous dance crew, the Jabbawockeez.

Halloween is no longer one day a year!

Starting with the first-ever Fan Preview night, the event runs on select nights from Friday, September 13 through Sunday, November 3. Another new addition this year is the weekly 80’s Throwback Thursdays. All of the same thrills will be on display but with an added 80’s spin including live bands and DJ dance parties. No matter which night you choose, these rain-or-shine events begin at 7:00PM. And even though you may be tempted, no costumes are allowed!

To enjoy the best discounts and shorter wait times for the attractions, think of planning to attend in September. And be sure to truly perfect this experience by booking a stay with us at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel. Conveniently located 5 miles away from Universal Studios Hollywood, we’ll ensure that your night of Halloween Horror is not a trick, but a truly memorable treat!

Get Closer To The Stars at Madame Tussauds Hollywood

Take a selfie with your favorite stars at one of the world’s famous wax museums in LA!

For over 200 years, millions of people have ventured through the doors of Madame Tussauds wax museums across the globe. Why has this pursuit lasted through the centuries and still captivates the modern millennial as much as it did the ladies and gents of the late 19th century? It seems like a touch of old-fashioned curiosity is at its waxy heart! And honestly, what would a trip to Hollywood be without a little celebrity spotting?

Madame Tussauds HollywoodThe fourth American site, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, opened its doors in 2009. Just as the others who have come before, the museum is the perfect place to see your favorite Hollywood celebrities up-close-and-personal! Sure, they may be made of wax, but many of the likenesses are truly uncanny. And with the perfect vantage point, getting a “real-life” selfie with Brad Pitt is now a possibility!

Taking a trip to one of the world’s famous wax museums in LA is about more than just the stars of today. There are a variety of exhibits that showcase different luminaries from past, present, and even fiction! Currently, Madame Tussauds Hollywood’s exhibits include:

Marvel Superheroes 4-D: Featuring interactive themed areas that bring these characters to life in multi-sensory fun, you have a chance to “meet” Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Wolverine.

The 90’s Are Here: This is a temporary exhibit that includes a variety of installations for you to explore – including a ball pit! Step into the ultimate 90’s bedroom complete with inflatable furniture, teen magazines, lava lamps, and many other details that will send you straight back to the days when Will Smith was still a Fresh Prince. Celebrity sightings will include Selena Quintanilla, Tupac, and Britney Spears in all of her ‘Baby One More Time’ youth!

Spirit of Hollywood: The Golden Era of Cinema may be gone but it’s not forgotten. Mingle with Marilyn Monroe or stay silent with the master Charlie Chaplin. And don’t worry, The King has not left this building either!
