Run Like a Rock Star at the Griffith Park Trail 30K/Half Marathon/10K

On Saturday, November 9, you’ll discover why out of all of the Burbank marathons, “Hollywood never got this dirty before”!

No matter how fast you can run, you’ll be sure to enjoy the Fall edition of the Griffith Park Trail 30K/Half Marathon/10K on Saturday, November 9th. The scenic course starts at Commonwealth Drive with the beautiful trail winding through the entire expanse of historic Griffith Park. This includes challenging, tough trails out to the famed Observatory, down to the Bronson Caves, that will continue on to the base of the Hollywood Sign, giving all runners unparalleled views of Downtown Los Angeles! The finish line for the most popular length of the race, the Half Marathon, is on Commonwealth Canyon Avenue.

Griffith Park Trail 30KHalf Marathon10KEven though one length may be more popular, this race will offer a trial for three – 10K, half marathon, or 30K – all throughout historic Griffith Park. It is open to walkers as well as runners, but registration is required! Living up to its name as a Hollywood Trail Rock Star Run, you can partake in a variety of incentives during and after the race. During the race, you will encounter aid stations every 2 – 3 miles that are well-stocked with Clif gels and Clif shot blocks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit and of course, water to keep you fully hydrated. Yet after the race is when the real “Rock Star” revelry can begin. First, you get your well-deserved “swag” – a beautiful finisher medal and high-tech, moisture-wicking shirt. Then, it is time to party with a post-race lunch full of savory and sweet choices to cap off your triumph in style!

The race begins for all runners 6:30 AM, but participants need to arrive early to pick up their Bib Number and Race Packet. This pick-up starts at 5:15 AM at the starting line on Commonwealth Drive. The Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel is conveniently located just 10 miles away from the start of the race in Griffith Park, providing you with a perfect home base for pre and post-race experiences. The upscale comfort of our accommodations will ensure you get a great night of rest before the big day. Our pools, whirlpool spa, and fitness center will help you get over any post-race soreness. And even though that lunch may have been satisfying right after the run, the innovative California cuisine at E.D.B. (Eat, Drink, Be) is a perfect choice for a true celebratory feast!
