Once a year, the TAA celebrates the legacy of the original ‘Tamburitza Jamboree’ in Illinois, and its staggering popularity of drawing over 500 attendees!

Now, this celebration of tamburitza music draws tambura players of every age from all over North America. Instead of a fixed “reunion” site, the Tamburitza Association of America moves the celebration across the country, planning unique events based on the chosen locale. Each night of screenings has a different theme, from animation to horror and everything in between. Like many of the Zoo’s nighttime events, Roaring Nights is strictly for the 21-and-up crowd, blending terrific tunes and treats with thoughtful thanks for supporting their global conservation efforts.

Held on a Friday night in each of the four summer months (6:00PM to 10:30PM), the $21 ticket fee includes entrance to the zoo and parking. Outside refreshments are prohibited, as the best LA food trucks are on hand each night!

Friday, July 20 – DJ Johnny Hawkes provides guests with an immersive Silent Disco experience while local group Saved by the 90s takes us back to when cell phones were rare and boy bands ruled!
